SPS is looking for an IT/Cloud Support Engineer who is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for both on-premise and cloud-based IT environments. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues, maintaining security policies, and optimizing system performance. The engineer will work closely with internal teams, end-users, and cloud service providers to ensure efficient IT service delivery, compliance, and business continuity.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of firewall configurations, VPN setups, and network security best practices.
  • Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) including VMs, storage, and networking.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform).
  • Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Ability to monitor IT systems using tools like Splunk, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for training users and maintaining IT records.

Job Description:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, minimizing downtime and resolving IT problems efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings in Active Directory, Office 365, and enterprise applications.
  • Configure and troubleshoot VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks to ensure secure connectivity.
  • Support cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) by provisioning virtual machines, managing storage, and monitoring performance.
  • Assist in cloud application deployments, ensuring optimization and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Implement and manage backup solutions for on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring data recovery readiness.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to automate infrastructure tasks and optimize cloud performance.
  • Monitor IT systems for security threats, unauthorized access, and performance issues, implementing proactive solutions.
  • Apply IT security best practices, including endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, and access control.
  • Regularly update and patch IT systems to prevent vulnerabilities and maintain performance.
  • Document IT processes, network diagrams, cloud configurations, and troubleshooting guides for reference.
  • Provide training and technical support to end-users on IT best practices and security protocols.
  • Research and recommend IT solutions that enhance operations, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and technical support.
  • Manage IT ticketing systems, track service requests, and generate reports on issue trends.
  • Assist in IT project planning, including cloud migrations, system upgrades, and network enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and data protection laws.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
